Welcome to the Prineville Senior Center Charitable Trust!
Welcome!! My name is Karen Rabenberg. I am the President of the Prineville Senior Center Charitable Trust Board. We run the Prineville Senior Center and the Neat Repeat Thrift Store. We are a 501(c)3 corporation which simply means we are a charitable, non-profit business. Our mission is to provide nutritious meals 5 days a week to senior citizens 60 and older and to deliver meals to seniors and Title 19 recipients that qualify for home-delivered meals under the Older Americans Act. We partner with the Council on Aging for this aspect of our Home-Delivered Meal program.
Recently, we have added a new service to our Home-Delivered Meal program. We want to be a resource for meal delivery to someone who is recovering from an injury, illness or surgery that needs help with meals for a short period of time. This is a new program which will be managed in-house. We will be working out the details over the next few months, but our intent is to make this service available on a limited basis beginning March 1, 2025. As with all our programs, this program must comply with our 60+ age requirement for the next 2 years. Please contact the Senior Center for more information at the number below.
We also work to combat senior isolation by providing various activities every day for seniors to participate in. These activities include Line-Dancing and Cornhole, Pool, Ping Pong, Bridge, Cribbage, or Pinochle. We also offer a Chair Exercise class. We have access by appointment to foot care for those who need that service and chair massage once a month. We have opportunities to speak with an attorney if you have legal questions. From time to time, other activities are planned and each month we celebrate birthdays with a special lunch and dancing with the “Just For Fun Band”.
